Kewl Things My Dad Taught Me.......
My father was a kewl guy, although I'm not sure he'd have liked the word kewl.
This is a list of "wisdoms" he imparted on me as I was growing up.
For a WWII vet with an 8th grade education, he knew a lot of Stuff.
On Success:
If you want to be successful, find something you really love to do...
then find someone who will pay you to do it.
On the word Can't:
Can't never did nuthin' - why? Because can't was lazy...
(You can do anything if you decide to work at it)
On Mushroom hunting: (and life?)
You won't find any if you always follow me, go off on your own and look...
(And thus, I took the road less traveled....)
Oh, and by the way, he'd never get too far away....
On Blind Trust:
Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.
On Fear (and trying again):
If you fall off of the horse, get right back on
(don't let fear rule your life)
On Learning:
Learn all you can, no one can ever take that away from you.
Quitters never win, Winners never quit...
And one only insiders will understand:
Ain't a horse that can't be rode, ain't a rider that can't be throwed
So......always keep your bucket down....
(Don't get overconfident and thus careless)
